No matter what you do, you have to show up every day.

No matter what you do, you have to show up every day.
————————————-
When I started my X account, I wasn't that serious.
I started my account back in January of 2024.
My consistency was as low as the Mariana trench.
No where to be found.
But, in August of 2024, I made a decision that changed this course.
I decide to buy X premium.
You might be like: "Oh X Premium, what a big deal..."
Which I would agree with you.
It doesn't sound like a big deal.
But...
Turns out, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
-
Let's go back to that period in time (August of 2024).
I'm 16 at the time, about to be 17.
I'm working at a local supermarket and making, for that age, a decent income.
But it wasn't like big yet.
At that time I've just gotten tired after not making an progress with my faceless account on X.
It wasn't growing.
It wasn't getting views.
It only got traction because of "growth groups"
Aka, those trashy retweet groups.
Also, at that time, I was seeing other people on my timeline.
Like Matt Gray, Justin Welsh, Aaron Will, Dan Go, and many more.
Those are big names, but the way they communicated with their content about why to start a personal brand, it grabbed me.
This was exactly what I was looking for.
A way to make money, help your audience, without needing 100k's of followers like with the faceless brands.
At that time, the $100 a year for X premium was a lot.
But, I wasn't going to let that stop me.
Instead, I made a contract for myself.
The contract (or just a sentence) said this:
"Wytze, $100 is a lot for us right now. If you do this, then you have to show up every day for at least a year."
I "signed it", bought X premium, and never looked back.
-
Now, about 9,5 months later, I'm so glad I did that.
I'm so glad I took that risk.
If I didn't do that, then I would've never:
Gained the audience I've gained
Gained certain skills
Met great people
I went from Newsletter Only to Coding to (now) Web Design.
I've failed posts, I had posts go viral, but the best thing that happened it that I now know what I want to do.
A 9-5 is definitely not for me.
I wanna encourage you to take that risk that has been holding you back.
Yes, you might be uncomfortable.
Yes, it might take some time.
Yes, you might get laughed at.
But the reward, is much greater that the sacrifice (little Jesus reference here, Amen).
Point is, just take the risk.
Either you lose and go back to your starting position, or you win and gain something for life.
Your call.
-
Now, that's it for this newsletter.
Just, what ever you do, just take that risk and don't quit.
That will create the moments you were looking for.
Now, I want to pray that you have an health and productive day, praise the Lord, and until next time,
-Wytze
